Best Practices for Assessing Culvert Health and Determining Appropriate Rehabilitation Methods

06/20/16

The South Carolina DOT is currently sponsored a research project titled “Best Practices for Assessing Culvert Health and Determining Appropriate Rehabilitation Methods.” As part of this research, the Principal Investigator was interested in learning about other state DOT’s methods for rehabilitating deteriorated culverts and the relative influence that various defect types have on the overall culvert condition and rehabilitation preferences.

There were two separate parts for this survey:

(Part 1) Culvert Failure Risk Assessment Methods, and
(Part 2) Culvert Rehabilitation Preferences.

Each Part had its own information document (PDF) and two-tab Excel worksheet: (Tab 1) participant information; and (Tab 2) survey responses.
