The Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT), Office of Contract Compliance, is looking for information to assist in the development of a process to capture demographic data (race and gender) for firms bidding or submitting proposals for contracting opportunities with the CTDOT. CTDOT was provided with a program data matrix by FHWA, where we need to provide input about “Data and information used to assess nondiscrimination in the selection and award process; and, demographics of all proposers compared to selectees.” This information will be included in CTDOT’s FHWA Title VI Implementation Plan. We are very interested in learning the processes other State DOTs are using to collect this data.
Note: You may need to have this survey answered by Civil Rights Personnel and/or Agreements/Contracting Personnel.
The following questions were asked as part of this survey:
1. Are you currently capturing demographic data for both the proposers and selectees on agreements/contracts for professional service agreements and construction contracts and subcontracts; and if so, what is the process?
2. Can we follow up with any additional questions? If so, please provide contact information.
