Connecticut DOT (CTDOT) has been engaged in building an authoritative Transportation Enterprise Data warehouse and is looking to hire additional personnel to support this effort. We are considering hiring a Chief Data Officer or like position, who will be responsible for the data management, data quality and data governance. We currently have a Chief Information Officer who is responsible for the Agency technology needs. This short survey will help CTDOT address some of the questions/concerns in the hiring for the position of Chief Data Officer.
State DOT appointments with data management responsibilities have titles such as State Transportation Data Administrator, Strategic Data Program Manager, Chief Data Officer etc. Some of the State DOT's have one appointment fulfilling both the Agency data and technology responsibilities and may have titles such as Chief, Office of Data Services & Technology; or, Director of Data, Technology & Analytics etc. Please forward the survey to the appropriate office at your agency.
