The Tennessee Department of Transportation (TDOT) is trying to find out more information on what other state DOTs utilize as specifications for heavy equipment purchases. Currently, TDOT utilizes a variety of formats in combination with manufacturer specifications, but we would like to transition to a standard specification format for heavy duty equipment purchases.
We would appreciate if you could route this survey request to the unit in your agency responsible for procuring equipment.
1. Provide your name, the state DOT you represent, and contact information.
2. What does your state DOT utilize as specifications for heavy equipment purchases?
3. Does your state DOT utilize a standard format when procuring equipment such as, bulldozers, dump trucks, pavers, trailers and heavy-duty mowers?
a. If yes, please provide any templates your DOT has that we can use as examples.
4. May we contact you for more information?
If you have any other links or documents to share, please feel free to send those along as well.
